Spruce tips are harvested seasonally once the brown casing opens up. Spruce tips are full of vitamin C and excellent for breaking up lung congestion and soothing sore throats when used in tea. Medicinally, spruce’s antiseptic properties are said to help with pneumonia, whooping cough, and croup.
